Jennifer Wilson, Director of Programming & Advocacy for the New England Museum Association, helped us kick off Cultural Heritage Week 2024 with a one-hour conversation about building confidence as an advocate and using your voice and story to start (or straighten) your relationship with legislators.

Beyond the nuts-and-bolts of advocacy as a 501(c)3 and how to represent your organization and issue with an elected official, Jennifer highlighted how to sustain momentum: advocacy is often a long-term endeavor, and maintaining motivation through the ups and downs of elections and policymaking can be challenging.
