SUCCESS!

LD 912 - the $10 million bond for Historic Community Buildings - passed in the legislature this week with broad bipartisan support! With the Governor’s approval, it will be on its way to the ballot in November. THANK YOU for your advocacy and support for this historic win for Maine communities and their important places and spaces.

2 out of 3 Mainers participate in cultural activities each year.

When cultural activity is happening in large and small ways throughout an area, it creates surprising ripple effects of benefits, even for those who don’t participate directly. Vibrant libraries, historical societies, historic buildings and districts, theaters, museums, concerts, festivals, and creative industries mean more energy and life in a community, more tourists, more businesses, and more young people and families.

Thank you!

Cultural Advocacy Day and Cultural Heritage Week 2024 were a great success. Thank you to our Advocacy Day sponsors at Northeast Bank, Maine Community Foundation, and Androscoggin Bank, and our statewide network of Cultural Heritage Week partners!
